Local Mum Goes Absolutely Mental at Phoebe Bridgers Tour Stop, Demands Artist “Turn It Down and Play Something People Can Dance To”
I'm sorry, but am I the only one with some COMMON SENSE here? My daughter dragged me to the Phoebe Bridgers tour last night at the Civic Center, and I’m still trying to get my hearing back. I’m all for supporting the arts, but this “sad girl music” is just noise. Three guitars, a cello, and a woman whispering about her ex-boyfriend? For $80 a ticket? I couldn’t hear myself think during the second song. The girl next to me was crying actual tears. Over what? A banjo riff? Meanwhile, the merch table had a t-shirt for $65. Where does the common sense end? If you want to mumble about your feelings for two hours, do it at an open mic, not in a venue that could fit a decent polka band. Call me old-fashioned, but I’d rather listen to a foghorn. #KeepItLocal #NotImpressed #CommonSense
