The latest nonsense? Our city council spent three meetings debating whether to add a single crosswalk near the elementary school. Three meetings! When I was a kid, you just painted some lines and told drivers to slow down. That’s called common sense, folks. Now we’ve got pamphlets, studies, and a seven-member committee fighting over which shade of white paint to use. And don’t get me started on the pothole on Oak Street that’s been there since last winter. They finally patched it yesterday, but only after someone’s bumper got ripped off.
