Among Us Animated Series Set for Fall 2025 Premiere on CBS All Access with Original Voice Cast
NEW YORK, New York — CBS All Access announced today that the highly anticipated animated series adaptation of the popular video game "Among Us" will debut in the fall of 2025, bringing the hit social deduction game to primetime television.
The series, officially titled "Among Us: The Show," will feature the original voice cast from the game, including recurring characters Red, Blue, and Green, alongside new characters created specifically for the narrative format. Each episode will follow a crew of spacefaring characters who must identify impostors among their team before the ship is sabotaged.
According to CBS officials, the show will expand the game's core premise by exploring backstories for each color-coded character and introducing complex interpersonal dynamics. The series will be produced in partnership with Innersloth, the game's developer, and animation studio Titmouse, known for "The Legend of Vox Machina."
"We aimed to capture the tension and humor that made the game a global phenomenon," said executive producer Dr. Sarah Jenkins in a statement. "The 'Among Us show' will subvert expectations by delivering serialized drama alongside its signature whodunit mysteries."
Industry analysts predict the series could draw over 50 million viewers in its first week, given the game's 500 million registered players worldwide. The announcement comes amid a surge in video game adaptations, following the success of "The Last of Us" and "Super Mario Bros. Movie."
CBS will release six episodes initially, with a second season already greenlit. The network declined to comment on whether the show will incorporate interactive elements, as seen in "Bandersnatch."
