The City Council Actually Debated Whether 'Among Us Show' Is A Real Threat To Kids While Crime Runs Rampant, And I Have To Laugh To Keep From Screaming
You cannot make this up. I just sat through a 45-minute public meeting where our local council members, who can’t even fix the potholes on Maple Street, debated the 'among us show' for children. They were worried about 'digital safety' and 'suspicious content' like it’s some kind of alien invasion. Meanwhile, my neighbor’s car got broken into for the third time this month, and these folks are sitting there asking if an 'among us show' teaches kids to lie. It’s a cartoon, for crying out loud. Common sense would say maybe focus on the actual dangers: the unlocked cars, the busted streetlights, the fact we can’t get a crossing guard at 4th and Main. But no, let’s hold a forum about a video game show. I swear, the 'among us show' is the least of our worries. We need less talk about cartoon astronauts and more action on real safety. It’s just common sense!
