wild waves theme park closure: another example of common sense drowned out by red tape?
Just saw the news about Wild Waves shutting its gates for good. Honestly? About time. I’ve been saying for years you can’t run a water park on “good vibes” and overpriced funnel cakes. My kids got ear infections twice from that splash zone—and let’s not even talk about the lifeguards who spent more time on their phones than watching the wave pool. Now the city’s crying about “economic impact,” but where was the common sense when they let the main slide rot out? Maybe if they’d fixed the drains instead of adding another gift shop, we wouldn’t be looking at a parking lot full of weeds. But hey, at least we can all enjoy lower traffic on I-5 now... silver lining, right?
