southwest airlines new routes are literally just 47 more ways to get stuck on a tarmac for 6 hours, AITA for booking one?
TL;DR: My boomer dad is losing his mind over Southwest adding direct flights to places nobody asked for, like "Rapid City" and "Santa Barbara," while simultaneously canceling all non-stop options between cities with actual people. The PR spin is "expanding access," but we all know it’s just so they can avoid paying us compensation when our connecting flight to Nowhere, Nebraska gets delayed by a rogue tumbleweed. The only thing "new" about these routes is the creative ways they'll find to lose your luggage. Can’t wait to pay an extra $50 for the privilege of sitting upright in my own personal gas chamber—I mean, cabin.
