BANDAI NAMCO Filmworks has officially announced the upcoming 'Gundam Rogue Orbit' anime series, set for a global release in late 2026, marking a new narrative direction for the iconic mecha franchise. The announcement came during a press conference held in Tokyo on Wednesday where company executives detailed the series which will follow a rogue Gundam pilot navigating a politically fractured solar system. Producer Naohiro Ogata confirmed the story centers on an exiled mobile suit operator who must uncover a conspiracy involving ancient orbital weapons. The series will debut simultaneously on Netflix and Japanese television. No cast members have been announced. Pre-production has already begun.
