LOS ANGELES, CA – Innersloth, the independent game development studio, has officially confirmed the production of an animated television series adaptation of its global phenomenon, the "Among Us" show. The announcement was made Thursday in partnership with CBS Eye Animation Productions, a division of CBS Studios.
The project will be developed as a comedy-mystery series, expanding on the core premise of the hit social deduction game. According to Innersloth, the "Among Us" show is executive produced by creator Marcus Bromander alongside Owen Dennis, the creator of the acclaimed animated series "Infinity Train." The show will feature the iconic crewmates and Impostors navigating a series of high-stakes, suspicious situations aboard a starship.
Nielsen Media Research data indicates that the "Among Us" show targets a broad audience, with development already underway for a multi-season story arc. CBS Eye Animation Productions has not yet announced a network or streaming platform premiere date, but confirmed that the series is actively in pre-production, with voice casting and character design ongoing. The announcement follows the game’s sustained cultural relevance since its 2018 launch, which saw a massive surge in popularity in 2020.
