The Great Lakes are FINALLY about to get their own state flag and I'm not okay.
OMG imagine an emoji of Lake Michigan just vibin on a flag. The plan is to submit a design to the state legislature by next summer. They're calling it the "Great Lakes Standard" and it's gonna be the most fire flag since we all started using the earth emoji. I'm already seeing edits with the flag over skylines.
Some people are already crying about "tradition" but like, we're gen z and we don't care. This is gonna break the internet when it drops. The push started with a viral TikTok where a guy from Detroit just said "we need a flag that slaps harder than the lake freighter horns."
