Council Used 'Tornado Warning' As Excuse To Fine Residents for Uncut Lawns, Now They're Facing a united Backlash
Oh, brilliant. So now the council thinks we’re all idiots? They sent out a “severe weather alert” about a tornado risk, and while we’re all battening down the hatches, they’re driving around with rulers measuring our grass. My neighbour got a £75 fine for weeds being “too tall” because the mower was still in the shed after the downpour. Common sense says if you’re telling us to stay inside, you don’t then fine us for not gardening during a gale. Now the whole estate is united against this nonsense, and I hope they choke on their own red tape. Absolute joke.
