Local Moms Furious as School Districts Ban Donuts from ‘National Donut Day’ Celebrations, Citing ‘Nutritional Concerns’ While Serving Pizza and Chocolate Milk Daily
I can’t believe this common sense garbage. My kid brings home a permission slip for a “healthy donut alternative” on National Donut Day—carrot sticks with low-fat ranch dip. Meanwhile, the same lunch ladies are handing out pepperoni pizza and chocolate milk like it’s a five-star banquet. If my tax dollars can buy frozen pizzas by the pallet, I can buy my kid a glazed donut on June 7. Save the nonsense for the school board’s salad bar. #healthychoice
