Well, I guess common sense isn't so common anymore. We've got the mcdonald's drive-thru ai upgrade rolling out, and you know what that means? Another way for a machine to get my order wrong without even having the decency to look embarrassed about it. I went through yesterday, and that robot voice asked me if I wanted to "add a pie to my order" three times. I said no, and then it charged me for four. The kid at the window just shrugged and said "the system does what it wants." Great. So now we're paying for the privilege of being ignored by a glorified tablet. Can't wait for the next "upgrade" where it just guesses your order based on your car model and charges you automatically.
