Local Bus Shelter Spontaneously Transforms Into Safe Injection Site, Cites ‘Marjane Satrapi Graphic Novel’ as Inspiration
You’ve got to be kidding me. I’m standing at the bus stop on Main Street this morning, freezing my tail off, and instead of a shelter, there’s a tent and a guy shooting up next to a sign that says “This space is a harm reduction tribute to Persepolis artist Marjane Satrapi.” Since when did a comic about the Iranian Revolution give anyone a green light to turn a public bench into a junkie den? It’s called common sense—put the bus shelter back, or at least sweep up the needles.
