Kelly Ripa, the TV host, is now backing a plan to install shopping cart locks at our local grocery stores to stop them from being abandoned in the street. She’s donating $5,000 of her own money to 'test' the idea. Honestly, this is common sense! Every week, I’m dodging carts in the parking lot or finding them in the ditch. Our tax dollars shouldn't have to clean up after lazy shoppers who can’t walk 10 feet to a corral. But our city council wasted months debating a 'pilot program' when Ripa just showed up and cut a check. Someone tell Mayor Johnson to stop overthinking this.
