I've lived here for 30 years, and I've never seen this level of pandering. Just saw on the local news that the town council approved a private, police-escorted motorcade for her to avoid traffic on Main Street—meanwhile, the pothole on Elm Avenue that I've reported five times this year is still swallowing cars whole. And don't get me started on the street closures for her 'pop-up appearance' at that boutique. Residents couldn't get home from work for two hours because of the barricades for a 'live studio audience' that was basically her neighbors and influencers. Common sense says you don't shut down a working-class neighborhood for a daytime TV producer to get a latte. But hey, I guess safety and convenience only matter if you're on morning TV.
