This "Cape Fear 2026" tourism push is great and all, but common sense should tell someone that blocking the only emergency room entrance on Market Street during tourist season is a recipe for disaster. I saw three people nearly get hit crossing the main drag, and the city council wants to add more parking? How about they enforce the traffic laws we already have? If you can't figure out how to merge onto Oleander Drive without causing a pileup, stay home. The hospitals won't be able to save anyone if the driveway is clogged by Instagram influencers. Fix the roads before you promote the county.
