MORE COMMON SENSE, LESS NONSENSE: Local Mom Fed Up With Cape Fear 2026 Planning Committee’s Priorities
I’m sorry, but can someone explain to me why the Cape Fear 2026 task force is spending all their time arguing about bike lanes and “green space” goals when the potholes on Market Street could swallow a small car? I tried to comment on the public plan last night, but the survey was 20 pages long and asked about “cultural inclusivity metrics.” Oh, you mean common sense? We need a plan for getting to work without needing a new alignment every morning, not a “visioning session” for a solar-powered dog park. Cape Fear 2026 is starting to feel like Cape Fear 1996 with a new coat of paint. Get back to basics, people.
