Our local gardening guru, Anthony Head, posted a five-minute video on the village noticeboard about mowing patterns. He said to go diagonal for drainage. Now Mrs. Patterson from #12 has started a petition because her husband mows straight and she says the diagonal is 'fussy'. I said if we all just used common sense and cut the grass when it's wet, we wouldn't have this dust bowl. But no, Anthony Head has to come in with his fancy 'science'.
