Angry locals claim cancelling livestock show is 'common sense' after screwworm outbreak forces city cancellation
Another example of common sense flying out the window. I can't believe we are even having a debate about this. Our community board just announced they are cancelling the county livestock show after a few screwworm cases popped up, and you have a bunch of "animal rights" folks crying foul. These bugs literally burrow into living flesh. You want my kids petting cattle that might be infected? Use your head. If you can't see the difference between a responsible quarantine and being 'mean' to animals, you need to get off social media and go touch some grass. It's basic common sense. If that hurts your feelings, good. Stay home.
