Saint Kitts Introduces Revolutionary Digital Nomad Visa to Boost Post-Pandemic Economy
Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis — The government of Saint Kitts and Nevis has officially launched a new Digital Nomad Visa program, effective immediately. According to a press release from the Ministry of Tourism, the initiative aims to attract remote workers from around the globe by offering a 12-month stay permit, renewable for an additional year. The visa requires applicants to provide proof of employment outside the federation, a minimum annual income of fifty thousand US dollars, and valid health insurance. Officials stated the program is designed to revitalize the nation’s tourism and service sectors, which have suffered significant losses since 2020. The first cohort of approved applicants is expected to arrive within the next thirty days. This move positions Saint Kitts as the latest Caribbean nation to compete for the rapidly growing digital workforce.
