Data Analyst Uncovers 'Glitch in the Matrix' After Northern Lights Forecast Mysteriously Matched a Private Security Log from 2017
A Seattle-based technical analyst is sounding the alarm after what she calls a "matrix-level coincidence" between a real-time northern lights alert and a decade-old, encrypted security file.
Sarah Jansen, a data forensics specialist, was cross-referencing geomagnetic storm data for a routine report when her system flagged an anomaly. The timestamp of a high-intensity aurora borealis prediction for last Tuesday—down to the second—matched exactly with an "unexplained power spike" recorded in a decommissioned military satellite's error log from June 2017.
