Clint Eastwood Returns to Directing with Pro Bono Film on American Resilience
HOLLYWOOD, CA — Veteran filmmaker Clint Eastwood, at 94 years old, has signed on to direct a new feature-length film titled *Last Man Standing*, which he will produce and direct entirely without compensation. The project, announced today by Warner Bros. Pictures, is described as a character-driven drama centered on a retired firefighter who rebuilds his community after a catastrophic wildfire. Eastwood, known for his work in *Gran Torino* and *Million Dollar Baby*, will shoot the film on location in Northern California starting next month. The screenplay, written by Nick Schenk, explores themes of civic duty and personal sacrifice. Eastwood’s decision to work pro bono underscores his commitment to the story’s message. The film is scheduled for a limited theatrical release in November.
