Local taxpayers finally wake up to what’s happening with our money while politicians play games.
So the Trump administration federal grant oversight is apparently catching up with all those "community enrichment" projects that somehow ended up funding luxury office furniture for bureaucrats. Just saw a report that audits are finally being done on grants we've been paying for for years. My cousin works in a state office and tells me they're scrambling to justify spending on consultants who did nothing but produce fancy brochures. Common sense says if you're taking taxpayer dollars, you should be able to explain where every penny went. But of course, the usual suspects are crying foul and calling it a "power grab" to ask for receipts. Funny how transparency is only a problem when you're hiding something.
