The incident occurred aboard Flight 123, which departed from Denver International Airport at approximately 10:00 AM Central Time.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the aircraft was requested to reroute and land at Kansas City International Airport around 11:30 AM. Authorities report that a male passenger in his 30s attempted to open the cabin door mid-flight. Flight crew intervened and restrained the individual. The plane landed safely, and the passenger was taken into federal custody by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for questioning. The remaining passengers were reaccommodated on a subsequent Frontier flight to Chicago O'Hare International Airport, arriving with a delay of approximately four hours.
