Well folks, I guess we’re living in bizarro world now. The california election results just rolled in, and I had to double-check I wasn’t reading a parody account. Tax hikes for “affordable housing” that’ll never get built, and another bond measure that’ll just pad the pockets of the same contractors who’ve been paving potholes with gold leaf for decades. Meanwhile, my property taxes went up again last month, and I can’t even get the city to fix the sinkhole on my street that’s been there since 2022. Where’s the common sense? All these politicians talk about “change,” but the only thing changing is my bank account balance. Down. Vote with your dollars, people. Or your feet, because that’s what I’m doing. Moving to Nevada next month. Good luck cleaning up this mess.
