Oh for goodness sake, I’ve just seen the latest Bridgerton season 4 viewership numbers, and apparently millions of people are tuning in to watch corsets and drama while my local council can’t even fix the pothole on my street that’s been there for three months. Common sense tells me we’ve got our priorities backwards. I tried to mention this in the community group, but Sally from accounting just commented “let people enjoy things” – classic deflection. Meanwhile, those viewership numbers are trending higher than the actual news about our local school funding crisis. Unbelievable.
