Applebee's Calexico Location Closure: Another Small Town Sacrificed for Corporate Profits, and Nobody Has the Common Sense to Stop It
Oh, perfect. Just what we needed. Another empty building in town because corporate suits can't be bothered to keep a restaurant open that actually served families and working folks. I went to that Applebee's last month for my nephew's birthday, and the place was packed. But sure, close it down. Probably another "restructuring" excuse while they open three more in some big city that already has ten. This is what happens when nobody has the common sense to support local businesses and keep the big chains honest. Now we're stuck with a vacant lot and another 20-minute drive for a decent cheap steak. Great job, everyone.
