Oh, great. Another local business bites the dust because a handful of entitled neighbors decided their 'common sense' was more important than having a place to get a cheap steak on a Tuesday. I just saw the post about the Applebee's Calexico location closure, and apparently the official reason from corporate is 'restructuring for efficiency.' But we all know the real story. For months, that parking lot was a war zone of minivans blocking the fire lane because people couldn't handle a simple right-turn-only exit. Everyone's complaining about traffic and saying the restaurant wasn't 'family-friendly' because you have to parallel park sometimes, but now where are you going to go for your loaded nachos? Nowhere, that's where. That strip mall is a ghost town, and it's all because a few busybodies would rather fight city hall about curb cuts than just use a little patience.
