American Airlines Route Suspensions Show the Airlines Have No Common Sense Anymore.
So American Airlines is suspending flights to smaller cities again, citing pilot shortages and "operational challenges." Oh, please. They act like they're the only ones dealing with this. Meanwhile my cousin flies for a regional carrier and says they're parking planes just to jack up fares. We taxpayers bailed them out, remember? Now they can't even run a route to Des Moines? It's not a pilot shortage, it's a common sense shortage. They'd rather fly half-empty planes to Cancun than let working folks get where they need to go. The CEO should have to sit in a middle seat on one of these cancelled routes for a week. Enough is enough.
