Alabama GOP Congressional Map Ruling: Another Fine Example of Common Sense Taking a Holiday, Y’all
So the courts have spoken and the Alabama GOP’s congressional map is getting thrown out. Again. And I’m supposed to be surprised? Let’s use some common sense here: We’ve got a state map that clearly packs voters into one district like sardines, and then folks act shocked when a judge says it’s unconstitutional. If you ran your business like this, you’d be shut down faster than a lemonade stand in a drought. All I’m saying is, if your map needs a GPS to find the nearest minority-majority district, maybe it’s time to pull over and ask for directions instead of wasting taxpayer money on yet another appeal.
