So I'm watching our local council meeting last night, and I can't believe what I'm seeing. They're debating whether to spend $50,000 on a consultant to tell us what we already know—install better streetlights on Main Road. My neighbor's porch light works just fine without a study. Common sense says if half the street is dark and people are tripping over cracks, you fix it.
