Here's a rant from a local in the comments:
When is pride month? Oh, that's right—it's the one month a year where we're supposed to pretend that having a full-blown parade and rainbow crosswalks at every elementary school is "common sense."
Meanwhile, my taxes just went up to repaint the town hall in swirly colors, but they can't fix the pothole on Elm Street that keeps swallowing mail trucks. Call me old-fashioned, but I thought June was for summer vacation and family barbecues, not for confusing my third-grader about which bathroom to use. Common sense says let them do their thing, but maybe skip the glitter cannon at 7 AM when I'm trying to get to work.
