Just drove down Main Street and nearly lost my muffler in a crater. Meanwhile, our so-called representative, Tom Kean, is absent in Washington again, probably sipping lattes and posing for photo ops. Common sense says if you're elected to fix the roads and the schools, you actually show up to vote on the bills that pay for them. Instead, we get silence and a press release. Maybe the potholes are the only thing getting filled here—with empty promises.
