LAUREL, MS – March 19, 2025 – The Heirloom Hotel Laurel MS officially opened its doors to the public today at 10:00 AM local time, following a private ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by city officials and preservationists. According to a press release from the Laurel City Council, the hotel, located at 301 Front Street, is a restoration of a 1920s-era building that had been vacant for over a decade. City Manager Robert Davies stated the project received $2.1 million in tax incentives over two years. The opening aims to boost tourism by 15% annually in Jones County.
