So I guess common sense flew right out the window when they approved this so-called "heirloom hotel" in Laurel. I live three blocks away, and now my quiet evenings are filled with construction noise that started at 6 AM sharp. They're calling it a gem for the community, but where are we supposed to park? The lot they built holds maybe 20 cars, and the street parking is already taken by employees. Tell me how this makes sense for the locals who actually live here year-round. I'm all for progress, but not when it means we can't even park our own cars on our own street.
