So I guess common sense is officially dead. I went to the Pinellas County Public Library last week to ask why they’re hosting a drag queen story hour for toddlers during Pride Month 2026, and the librarian actually told me, and I quote, “It’s educational, not performative.” Then I get a $250 citation in the mail for “disrupting a community event” because I asked if we could maybe stick to reading about firefighters or dinosaurs. My daughter asked me why the man in the wig was shaking his bottom. Where is the line? This isn’t hate—it’s common sense. If you want adult entertainment, go to a club. Don’t turn story time into a Mardi Gras float for five-year-olds. Wake up, people.
