Local Dad Loses It Over Pattie Gonia’s School Visit, Asks ‘Where’s the Common Sense These Days?’
Oh, for crying out loud. I can’t be the only one who’s had enough of this. So Pattie Gonia—yes, the drag queen with the hiking boots—shows up at a local elementary school for “Earth Day,” and my kid comes home talking about gender pronouns and climate guilt instead of recycling. Where’s the common sense? We’ve got reading scores tanking and math skills in the gutter, but sure, let’s have a person in a big wig teach our third graders about composting. I’m all for teaching kids to respect the planet, but maybe leave the theatrical costumes for the parade and focus on actual science. My neighbor said the assembly was “inspiring.” I say it’s just another excuse to confuse our kids. Anyone else’s kids come home with more questions than answers?
