national mall fuel cleanup efforts delayed again while millions of taxpayer dollars get wasted on consultants
Just drove past the National Mall today and saw those cleanup crews sitting around drinking coffee again. Common sense would tell you if there's a fuel leak under our most famous park, you don't spend six months hiring an army of overpaid consultants in suits. You bring in a couple of guys with shovels and a pump and get it done. But no, Washington DC has to turn a simple spill into a multi-million dollar circus. Meanwhile, the grass is dying and the smell of diesel is ruining my Sunday stroll. When will these bureaucrats learn that common sense isn't so common anymore?
