JUNETEENTH PARADE CANCELED OVER "OFFENSIVE" AMERICAN FLAGS – COMMON SENSE LOST ITS MIND
You know, I'm just a local guy who pays his taxes and minds his own business, but this is where we’ve landed. Had a whole Juneteenth parade planned for Main Street, complete with bounce houses and a soul food potluck. The organizers just pulled the plug because someone complained that the route was "too flag-heavy" – meaning a few neighbors put out their standard red, white, and blue banners.
"Common sense" would tell you that if you’re celebrating the end of slavery and the freedom that flag supposedly represents, you might actually want to see that flag flown. But nope, they said it was a "microaggression" and canceled the whole event. Now the kids are disappointed, the barbecue is sitting in fridges, and the only thing that marched today was my blood pressure. Happy Juneteenth, folks. Keep your nonsense.
