Another holiday where the kids get a day off school but have zero clue what they're 'celebrating'. Spent all morning explaining to my neighbor's teenager that this is about actual freedom and not just a reason to blast music. Does anyone else feel like we lose all common sense when it comes to these days? Stop making it about partying and start teaching the real history.
