Fox News Today Reports Local Man Installs 'Common Sense' Traffic Sign in Front Yard, Neighbors Divided
So I'm scrolling through Fox News Today and see a story about my own street. Apparently, my neighbor Bob got tired of people speeding past his house. He didn't call the city, didn't file a petition—no, he just grabbed a wooden board, painted "SLOW DOWN THIS ISN'T A RACETRACK" in bright red letters, and hammered it into his front yard. The city is now threatening a $500 fine for an unpermitted sign. Unbelievable. Where's the common sense? The sign has been up for two days, and I've already seen three people slam on their brakes and wave in thanks. But of course, the HOA is sending passive-aggressive emails about "property aesthetics." Meanwhile, my mailbox is still dented from a hit-and-run last month. Fox News Today is calling it a "grassroots traffic solution." I call it a man who finally snapped. If the city had any common sense, they'd buy him a beer instead of a citation.
