Fox News Today: Outrage as Common Sense Ditched by Council Banning Lemonade Stands for 'Safety'
Oh, for crying out loud. I just read on Fox News today that our own city council has officially banned kids' lemonade stands on residential streets. They claim it's a "public safety hazard" because of the traffic and "unlicensed food sales." Are you kidding me? My kid's lemonade stand last summer was the most wholesome thing on this block. It's common sense: a few kids selling fifty-cent cups is not the same as a five-star restaurant. What's next, banning bake sales? This is the kind of nanny-state nonsense that makes you want to sell the house and move to a county that still lets people be neighborly. The council says they're "keeping the streets safe," but all I see is busybodies ruining a childhood tradition.
