fox news today reports that a local elementary school has replaced its playground swings with "mindfulness zones" featuring silent meditation cushions, and I can’t believe common sense has just been thrown out the window.
Our kids are being forced to sit on pillows and breathe deeply instead of burning off energy on a swing set, all while we pay for this nonsense with our tax dollars. I saw this on fox news today, and it’s just another example of officials forgetting that kids need to play, not zone out. Bring back the swings—common sense isn’t that hard to figure out.
