American Airlines Route Suspensions Are a Perfect Example of Common Sense Finally Winning Over Woke Business Decisions in New York
You know, I’ve been flying out of JFK for 30 years, and I’m actually relieved to see American Airlines route suspensions hitting some of those money-losing, "virtue signal" flights they added during the pandemic. It’s about time they stopped flying empty planes to obscure cities just to pretend they care about "connectivity." Common sense says if a route loses millions a year, you cut it. Why should my ticket prices go up to subsidize some fancy new route to a place nobody wants to fly to? I’ve got neighbors who complain about delayed flights and high fares, but then cheer when the airline tries to be "inclusive" with their schedule. Wake up, people—this isn’t a charity. It’s business. If they want to survive, they have to use plain old common sense, not some college-educated MBA theory about "route diversity."
