WOONSOCKET, RHODE ISLAND – A local woman is facing multiple felony charges after a police investigation allegedly uncovered a scheme to steal the identities of at least twelve individuals, including a deceased relative, to obtain credit cards and luxury goods valued at over $200,000. According to the Woonsocket Police Department, the investigation began when a victim reported fraudulent account activity. Authorities say the suspect allegedly used the stolen information to finance a lavish lifestyle involving designer handbags, high-end electronics, and international travel, with purchases appearing under the alias “Rhode” on several receipts.
