They had a whole assembly for Juneteenth where an outside speaker told the 5th graders that wanting to “keep the peace” and “not cause drama” is actually a sign of white supremacy. I’m not kidding. My niece came home in tears because she thought she did something wrong for just wanting everyone to get along. Since when is basic decency a bad thing? They keep pushing these divisive ideas while ignoring the real history. Juneteenth is about freedom and unity, not making kids feel guilty for existing.
