Common sense goes out the window in this town when it comes to the june calendar 2026 schedule.
We just got the official summer event list and it’s literally like city hall planned a heatstroke marathon. They scheduled the annual "Family Fun Run" for the afternoon of June 21st, which is the longest day of the year! In direct sunlight. No shade. No water stations past the halfway point. And the school board approved the "End of Year picnic" for June 14th, which is a Sunday, so now working parents have to take a day off or skip it. My neighbor's kid already has a fever just from looking at the forecast.
Does anyone up there actually live in the real world or do they just pick dates out of a hat? You can't fix stupid, but you can vote them out.
