clearwater beach shooting: Tourists in Beach Chairs Refuse to Move for Emergency Vehicles, Cops Say "Enough is Enough"
As a local, I’m sick of this "me first" attitude. Hundreds of rubberneckers ignored police sirens and set up lounge chairs right in the middle of the emergency lane during the Clearwater Beach shooting chaos yesterday. Cops had to physically push beach cruisers out of the way while paramedics were waiting with a victim. My neighbor’s kid missed his bus because of the gridlock. Common sense says if you hear sirens, you MOVE your lazy behind. But no, these tourists just stared at their phones while a man bled out. City council better start fining these clowns $500 and towing their chairs. Embarrassing.
