So some big-shot fantasy author, Brandon Sanderson, just released a new book where a beloved character suddenly decides they're "non-binary" or something. And the internet is losing its mind in praise. Call me old-fashioned, but maybe this is why common sense is dead. When did storytelling become a platform for forced virtue signaling? My kids read these books, and now I have to explain nonsense that has no place in a fantasy world. Get back to writing about magic and swords, not identity politics.
