According to a press release issued Monday by the FBI's Cyber Division, the event, broadcast on an unregistered platform on March 28, prompted an investigation after multiple attendees reported unauthorized financial transactions and identity theft within hours of participating. Authorities stated that the host, a social media personality known online as "Bonnie Blue," used the baby shower premise—themed with blue decorations—to solicit personal data from guests under the guise of virtual gift registrations and lottery-style games. The inquiry aims to determine if the event was engineered to harvest biometric and banking information from at least 200 participants, who logged in via a URL that was widely shared on social media. The investigation remains ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
